Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to an inclusive experience on VocabClass and how to contact us about accessibility.
Our Commitment
At VocabClass, we believe that language tools should be open and accessible to everyone. Whether you are using our digital dictionary to find the perfect word or exploring our new spelling and word-study platform, Vocab Loco, we are committed to providing an inclusive digital experience.
Our goal is to ensure that students, educators, and language learners of all abilities can navigate our content with ease and dignity.
Our Standards
VocabClass strives to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Our accessibility efforts focus on the four core principles of digital inclusion:
- Perceivable: Information and user interface components are presentable to users in ways they can perceive (for example, clear text and high-contrast visuals).
- Operable: User interface components and navigation are operable via keyboard and assistive technologies.
- Understandable: Information and the operation of the user interface are clear and predictable.
- Robust: Content is compatible with a wide range of browsers and assistive technologies, including screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
What to Expect on VocabClass
VocabClass has transitioned into a free informational hub and dictionary resource.
- Simplified Design: By removing the need for user accounts, subscriptions, and complex interactive activities, we have made the site more accessible by design.
- Vocab Loco: We are excited to introduce you to our new spelling site! Please note that links to Vocab Loco will direct you to a separate platform that maintains its own dedicated accessibility standards and documentation.
Feedback and Priority Support
We welcome your feedback and are ready to assist with any accessibility-related inquiries. We have established dedicated channels to ensure your concerns are addressed by the right team members:
- Priority Support: Use our Dedicated Accessibility Support Form — look for the "Accessibility" header to ensure you are in the right place.
- Direct Email: accessibility@vocabloco.com
- Response Time: Inquiries through these dedicated channels are prioritized. We aim to respond to all accessibility feedback within two business days.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing journey. While we do not maintain a formal VPAT for this informational dictionary site, we conduct periodic internal reviews to ensure our content remains usable and compliant with evolving standards.
